CUN Map: Map of Cancun International Airport

About Cancun Airport Layout

Cancun International Airport (IATA: CUN) is located about 17 km (10 miles) south of downtown Cancun, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The airport operates four passenger terminals connected by a free inter-terminal shuttle: Terminal 1, used exclusively for private and charter flights; Terminal 2, the oldest terminal, handling domestic flights along with some international routes to Central and South America and Europe; Terminal 3, dedicated mainly to international flights from the United States and Canada; and Terminal 4, the newest terminal, serving both domestic and international carriers.

Understanding which terminal your flight uses before you travel saves time at baggage claim, immigration, and pick-up zones, especially during peak tourist season (December through April) when the airport is at its busiest.

Terminal 2 is the oldest terminal at CUN and serves a mix of domestic and international flights, including routes to Central and South America and select flights from Europe. It is split into a satellite building with gates A1 to A11 and a main building with gates B12 to B22, connected by an internal walkway.

Pick-up note: Terminal 2 has separate arrival areas for domestic and international passengers, with domestic arrivals on the left side of the terminal and international arrivals on the right. Both arrival areas lead to a shared vehicle pick-up lane just outside the terminal doors, with paid parking available nearby.
