About Cancun Airport Lost and Found
Lost and found at Cancun International Airport (IATA: CUN) is run by the airport's Security Office. This department works independently from the rest of the airport and follows its own policies and procedures. The office receives and processes items found inside the terminals, which are usually handed in by passengers, airport employees, or security officers.
Not every lost item makes it to the office, since some people who find belongings keep them. To reduce that risk, airport employees are screened at the end of their shifts. Even so, the sooner you report a missing item, the better your chances of recovering it.
Where can you find your lost item at the Cancun Airport?
Several different organizations handle lost property at CUN, and they do not share information. Contacting the right one first is the fastest way to recover your belongings.
On the aircraft
Contact your airline. The airport's lost and found office is not responsible for anything left on board, because aircraft are handled by airline staff.
Checked bag missing or damaged
Report it to your airline's baggage services desk before leaving the airport. Baggage is handled by airline personnel, and the airport cannot process luggage claims.
